Hyperbolic arched bridge is a characteristic arched bridge type in China. In 1960s and 1970s, lots of arched bridges were built up in China, it ever played an important position on fastening the construction speed of highway & bridges and economic development in China, however, it was not perfected on design theory and construction, as well as increment traffic and maintenance in recent years, there were more and more problems and hidden dangers existed in hyperbolic arched bridges, it has strategic significance and economic value for the normal operation of guaranting highway traffic and promoting national economy to strengthen evaluation and inspection of heperbolic arched bridges, judge its actual carrying capacity, determine scientific maintenance and strengthen scheme.Through dead weight and its experimental research of Nehe Bridge(hyperbolic arched bridge), understanding of its purpose on stress conditions directly, and though calculation and analysis for the bridge, the paper judges its safe reserve, provide necessary foundation for maintenance and strengthening according to monitoring and calculating result, it can both guarantee conditions of bridge' s safe operation and save funds, in the meantime, it can provide maintenance and strengthening scheme and new structure design and calculation theory, as well as scientific foundation and reference value for evaluating the same old bridges in the future.
