Combined with a practical project, a series of analysis on reliability of the slope stability is done by reviewing the available literature in this paper. Some valuable results are concluded, and many computer programs are worked out.The contents of this thesis included:1. Summing up the limit equilibrium methods and reliability analysis methods on slope stability analysis in recent years.2. The model of reliability analysis on slope stability and the probabilistic style of the essential variations C, Φ have been established. Several main methods of the reliability analysis are introduced.3. The "JC " method is applied in slope stability analysis. Some regularity is researched. Such as:the influence of the essential variations C, 0, including their probabilistic styles, variant factors and average value, on the reliability indexβ; the relationship between the reliability index and the safety factor.4. Based on the random fields theory developed by Vanmarcke, the reliability of slope stability, which the self-correlation distance (that is scale of fluctuation) is considered, are investigated.5. Some problems in reliability analysis on the stability of reinforced slopes are discussed.
