In civil engineering, it is a very important problem of the stability analysis of slope. It involves a great deal of project fields, such as a project of highway and bridge, the hydroelectric engineering, architectural work etc., so, the stability of slope has been an important research content of the soil project of rock all the time.In slope project, the traditional evaluating method is factor of safety method. It does not consider the variability of soil, regarding soil as a uniformity material with a certain "average nature'" material. The method treats various kinds of design.condition, various kinds of index and parameter as fixed values, then choose a certain calculating model to calculate, And all belong to those unknown, indefinite factors a single safety coefficient. The result from the method is clear, so easy to accept by people. But such traditional method has neglected the uncertainty of the soil properties parameter, and does not conform with reality. In recent years, people have realized the uncertainty in the soil project question gradually. It is a kind of inevitable development trend that people introduce probability analysis method into slope project.It is different from traditional factor of safety method, probability analytical method consider dispersed quality and dependence between parameters of soil in stability analysis of slope. It has considered all sorts of uncertain factors existing actually in rational by way of probability, so it can reflect the real safety character of slope for objective.Combined with a practical project, a series of analysis on reliability of the slope stability is done by reviewing the available literature in this paper. Some valuable results are concluded, and many computer programs are worked out. The contents of this thesis includ:1. The paper introdue the history and actuality of the slope stability analysis in recent years abroad and home;2. Several main methods of the reliability analysis are introduced and introduce the random field theory, and set up the model of reliability analysis on slope stability in terms of soil parameter space variance and correlation.3. The" JC "method is applied in slope stability analysis. Derive the calculation formulae of the slope stability analysis in terms of soil parameter^,c separation andcorrelation when the parameters are random variable.4. The" JC "method is applied in slope stability analysis.and ues the random field theory. Derive the calculation formulae of the slope stability analysis in terms of soil parameter space variance and correlation.5. The calculation procedure of the reliability index J3 are worked out according tothe formulae, and some regularity questions are discussed about the slope stability analysis, including variation, mean value and correlation and self-correlation and the soil-devided number "n" of basic parameter impact on reliable index 0, c, and ascertain the dangeroussurface.
