While people studying in modern electric power systems, a reasonable accurate representation of load is necessary for power system stability and dynamic analysis. Load modeling is one of the most important cause effecting the precision and credibility of the simulation result. The thesis studies the load modeling methods and theories based on actual electric power network. At first, it introduces the basic theory on load modeling, including identification theory how to choose model and deal with data , which is the base of the thesis. Then the thesis adopts the ways of Component-Based Modeling Approach and Measure-Based Modeling Approach for load modeling. The two ways are not only independent but also combined. A set of Systemic method of load modeling based on Component -Based is brought forward. It must investigate some representative consumers in order to make certain every industry load constitutes. After confirming industry load characteristics, it can set up bus or power sub-station load static characteristics. The modeling practice results express the rationality and validity of the method. The very crucial discussion to set up static modeling parameters according to the situation of china is done in the article. The paper discussed and brought forward the new classifyingmethod--fuzzy clustering aiming at assort of complexity and subjectivity in treating withdata, which is clear in concept and simple in calculation. The examples of Hunan province power system are classified by fuzzy clustering in the paper and the result is consistent for the engineering practice. Applications of fuzzy clustering in Component-based Modeling Approach have significant academic and application value. The basic identified principle and mathematics description of the measurement-based load modeling is discussed in the paper. A set of method and steps acquired malfunction data is proposed. The induction motor's parameter is identified in the data of test by the Measured-based load modeling in the paper. By comparing to the calculated parameter, some significant conclusion is drawn. It has the important guidance action for power system stability and dynamic analysis.
