Study On The Leisure Space Lighting Of Squares In City

With the development of economic in city in our country, the city environment also gets the improvement increasingly. As important part of city environment, the lightscape is regarded very important element by governor. Squares is important node in city space and it's not only the window for exhibiting civilization and folk-custom but also the constitution of public space for outdoor leisure. So the studies on square lighting is very important and realistic to improve the quality of people leisure at night.The level interface of square is build by two kinds of materials-the" hard" quality material(such as tiles) and the "soft" quality material ( such as water and lawn).The "hard" quality is main leisure public space which people can arrive at will and takes most areas in level interface of square. Therefore, it is main object of leisure space lighting in square and also the emphases of this paper. The studies on leisure space lighting will be processed with different views such as architecture, architectural technology and related subjects in paper.First, by analyseing the characteristic of leisure space in square and the demand of people to lighting, the paper deduce four principles about leisure space lighting: (a) the " make people the center" principle to pursue health, comfort, safety illumination; (b) the principle of the whole to emphasize harmonious lighting; (c) the principle of pertinency refers to manifest different features of activity space; (d) ecosystem principle to emphasize the green lighting. These principles are qualitative restriction of plan and style of leisure public space lighting in square and are foundation of specific lighting standard.The next, this paper draws some directive and practical conclusions by mean of questionnaires to study the lighting environment of some squares in Chongqing and further discuss the factors influencing the leisure public space lighting environment. Objectively, the quality of lighting environment people need is different because their different leisure manners in squares. To confirm the difference of lighting environment for different activities, this paper bring forward a pertinency lighting design method-activity space division: based on people's different visual and mental demand in activity space, the method classifies the leisure public space as the open public space, the half-open public space and the introvert space, and will bring forward specific lighting standard. There is the process:First, this paper takes spot measure of some squares in Chongqing. Second, thispaper studies the lighting environment of some squares in Chongqing by mean of questionnaires. And the data are analyzed by the statistical software SPSS to get the correlations between the factors. By the correlation analysis, the rationality of activity special division is approved. Finally, based on the Weber-Fechner Law, this paper recommends the lighting standard by combining the spot measure values with the subjective evaluation scores in different activity divisions, and refers to some methods in China and other countries to establish the standard.
