With the rapid development of the measuring technique of the steel cable tension, the detection of the steel cable tension has been changed from the qualitative detection to the computer aided quantitative detection. The last purpose of the steel cable tension on real-time detection is to evaluate the running safety in order to use the steel cable reasonably and effectively through the detection of the steel cable tension and damage. But lack of the theory and method for perfectible and suitable quantitative detection of steel cable tension, so it becomes more important that the method of the steel cable on real-time detection should be farther studied.Firstly, the dissertation expatiates on the signification of the steel cable tension on real-time detection. The dissertation tells us the phylogeny, the kinds, the measuring theories, the advantages and disadvantages, the current of development and so on. The actual problems of the steel cable tension on real-time detection are pointed out. The paper also dissertates some researching work and focuses on the theory and application of the stele cable tension on real-time detection.Secondly, the measurement precision of "the three points bending method" used widely in engineering is more accurater than other methods, but this method has defects in the mechanical model. The pattern of "spring supports" which are more reasonable than "the three points bending method" is given and regarded as the mechanical theory of the steel cable tension on real-time detection in practice. The model is regarded as a single span girder and analyzed with the gemel supports, the fixed supports and the spring supports. A more reasonable formula of the steel cable tension detection is deduced for practical use in engineering. The formula is convenient for the steel cable tension on real-time detection.Finally, the factors of the reduction in the steel cable tensile strength are analyzed. The dissertation also recommends the measuring methods of the scathed steel cable tensile strength and the theory for the dynamic safety evaluation. Utilizing visual software Visual C++ to develop the system for the steel cable on real-time detection. Offering one friendly human-computer interaction interface for the steel cable on real-time detection. The system can be used for the detection of steel cable static ordynamic tension and also offers a standard for the users.
