In fact, the earthquake excitation is multidirectional, so does the structure response. It couldn't reflect the response essence if the structure was simplified as plane structure and was considered to be excited by unidirectional earthquake. As a matter of experience, the reinforced concrete structures tend to be damaged when the strong earthquakes act on them. But for the economic reason, almost every country allow of a certain extent of damage in the anti-earthquake design. Thereby how to exactly evaluate the extent of structure damage becomes an important content of anti-earthquake design.Along with accumulating the anti-earthquake experience and going deep into the study of theory and experiment, we enhance the cognition of structure earthquake response. It couldn't assure the structure safety to control the structure performance by the carrying capacity. The analyses indicate that the deficiency of transfiguration capacity and capacity of energy dissipation is the main reason of structure collapse. Thus wen eed t o a dopt the a nti-earthquake d esign b ased o n s tructure p erformance, that is measuring the structure function by the capacity index. We can believe that the anti-earthquake engineering based on structure performance would become the developing tend of anti-earthquake design. This thesis includes 6 chaptersChapter 1 presents the research background and status of the accumulated damage, puts forward the research objective and methods of the thesis.Chapter 2 basing on damage theory and existing restoring force model that considering accumulated damage, builds reinforced concrete restoring force model that considering double-axial damage.Chapter 3 presents the shaking table test of the reinforced concrete frame model, it includes test model, test load modes and treatment of test data, which provide the basis of the building model.Chapter 4 analyzes structure model with CANNY and computes damage index of members which is used to modify the member restoring force model. Also it contrasts the computation results and test results which give the corresponding conclusion and validate the feasibility of the building model.Chapter 5 combing current research fruits in the world, studies the anti-earthquake performance-based design of reinforced concrete frame when the structure suffered from two-horizontal earthquakes.Chapter 6 addresses the main conclusion of the thesis and the pending problem.
