Since the reforming and opening, China gets to a rapid fly, and the people's life condition increase significantly. The economy's advance promoted local tourism unprecedented prosperous that makes enormous environmental pressure on scenic areas, and serious artificial demolish have happened. For protecting, supervising and sustainable using scenic and tourism resources, to evaluate landscape quantity becomes a foundation work.We regard this article as a constituting part of the national 10th-five years plan onimportant science and technology task-Information System for Protecting,Monitoring and Managing Scenic and Historic Interest Areas. The dissertation is alsoan essential and basic applied research on seeing out the guideline-rigorousprotection, uniform management, reasonable development, sustainable using.Following systematism, integrality, objective, validity principles, surveying on the spot, and analyzing mathematics models, we put forward a series of standard system to evaluate landscape quantity aiming at Gorge-River scenery. And then, we use IT methods that take GIS as the core-technology to evaluate the landscape quantity of Wushan Lesser Three Gorges.The main contents of the dissertation are as follows:CD We reviewed current studies on Landscape, and illustrated our research point of view;(2) We analyzed the landscape characteristic of Wushan Lesser Three Gorges and its main landscape factors, and advanced a 3-Grade Standard System of Visual Landscape Evaluating;(3) We established visual analysis model on Gorge-River landscape, and analyzed some core model by handiwork;(4) By IT techniques such as GIS, we implemented the Gorge-River landscape analysis model, and get the rational evaluation on Wushan Lesser Three Gorges;(5) We concisely summarized the theory and practice that the dissertation involved, and processed a long-term research perspective, in this perspective we can establish various type landscape analysis model to evaluate scenic quantity of all Scenic and Historic Interest Areas.
