With the development of science and technology, driving technology with high accuracy, high resolution and high stability becomes the current focus. The stepper motor's subdivision driving technology is a kind of new technologies which synthesize electrical machinery digital technology, integrated control technology and computer technology. It's widely applied to scientific research, communication, astronomy and so on.In this paper, the working principle and magnetic network model of two-phase hybrid stepper motor are introduced, the magnetism chain equation of the winding and electromagnetism torque equation is deduced. Applying the principle of subdivision driving and electromagnetism torque equation, we get the mathematics model which makes the step angle evenness after subdivision. Through analyzing cutting waves and pulse width modulation, a new method of tracing current is presented. It prevents the reactive voltage errors brought by other windings and the drift errors brought by current. It improves the precision of subdivision. At the same time, this paper describes the control circuit and related software based on the one-chip computer controlling. In order to reduce the error, I carry on error analysis in the subdividing control system, and result is shown as following : When the system adopts 12 bit D/A switching device and the step angle of stepper motor is 1.8 , 256 subdivision can be attained with angle error of 10%.The autoaligment instrument and accuracy turntable with digital display are applied to detect the step angle and the experiment results are shown as following: When measure error is omitted, higher subdivision precision can be attained . Compared with error theoretical analyse, the experimental results are believable.
