The dissipative silengcer is one of the main devicie to control noise, The study of muffler has been paid close attention to it and taken it seriously. The development process and the present condition of research methods about muffler in China and abroad are briefly in this paper. Based on the achievement in the past, theoretical analysis and experiential study are mainly carried to the affect of inner flow field in dissipative silencer by airflow. At the theoretical aspect, from the analysis of internal flow field in mufflers, theoretical analysis is applied to analyze the affect about noise eliminative quality of the dissipative silencer by airflow and the affect about sound pressure level in sound eliminative pipeline by regenerate sound. The finite element analysis software ANSYS are used to numerical simulation to get the velocity distribution of airflow inner flow field in dissipative silencer. At the experimental aspect, according to the national standard of the People' Republic of China muffler model, experimental situation and steps are designed to test the silencer for measure, we get the volume of noise elimination of dBA and the volume each spectrum of noise elimination of tubular dissipative silencer under the different air velocity. At last, according to the theoretical analysis and experimental data, the aerodynamic quality of dissipative silencer is summarized.
