The diffusive silencer is one of the main devicie to control noise, The study of muffler has been taking it important gradually. The development process and the present condition of research methods about muffler & diffuser in China and abroad are briefly in the paper,then the structure and principle of diffusive silencer are put forward. Based on the achievement in the past, theoretical analysis and experiential study are mainly used to verify the affect of inner flow field in diffusive silencer by airflow. At the theoretical aspect, from the analysis of internal flow field in mufflers, theoretical analysis is applied to analyze the affect about velocity distribution of the diffusive silencer by airflow and the affect about pressure loss. So,the finite element analysis software ANSYS8.0 is suitable for numerical simulation to get the velocity distribution of airflow inner flow field in dissipative silencer. At the experimental aspect, according to the national standard of the People' Republic of China muffler model, experimental situation and steps are designed to test the silencer for measure,we get the volume of noise elimination of dB (A) and the volume each spectrum of noise elimination of tubular diffusive silencer under the different air velocities and different punching rates.Finally, according to the theoretical analysis and experimental data, we get or verify some valuable conclusions in the diffusive silencer...
