The Key Technology Research Of High-resolution Optical Time Domain Reflectometer

High-resolution optical time domain reflectometer is a measurement instrument for optical fiber communications. It can be used to locate the faults and measure the characteristics of optical fibers or cables. In this paper, the principle of model high-resolution OTDR is described, the design is analyzed, and the main techniquesis discussed, the research using digital_ control accurate delay fororderly sample synthesis and Using window sample technology is introduced. We have solved the problems of real time operation in processing and displaying large volume of data, and realized dynamic sample with 0.1m resolution at range of 256km.
