This article describes the development of optical time-domain reflectometer,expounds the working principle of the optical time domain reflectometer in detail and the analysis method about the curve of the optical time domain reflectometer.Put forward a new kind of optical time domain reflectometer hardware design scheme and event analysis algorithm on the premise of guarantee performance,and fully consider the cost control and the convenience of users.The paper mainly discusses the:(1) Expounded the status of the development of optical communication and the meaning of optical time domain reflectometer applied to the optical fiber access network,after analyzing the actual situation existing optical time-domain reflectometer, proposed a low-cost miniaturized optical time-domain reflectometer design in guarantee under the condition of various performance indicators. Detailing the work flow of the entire system from the principle and hardware structure diagram and software flow chart,and analyses several common optical time domain reflectometer curve and the possible reasons of failure.(2) Focus on optical time domain reflectometer detailed instructions to the hardware design,The circuit is divided into five modules,For each module around its core device details the device selection considerations,and the peripheral circuit of the device parameter is set, and the working process of the whole module.Which focuses on two different pulse receiving circuit APD receiver design, parameter settings and the receiving circuit workflow.(3) Put forward a new kind of can greatly improve the event analysis of the reliability analysis method of wavelet transform after introduces the traditional optical time domain reflectometer curve analysis method,Detailing the use of this algorithm to perform optical time-domain reflectometer curve de-noising and event analysis of ideas and steps.(4) Introduces the test environment of each module circuit, shows the test results of each circuit module. Contrasted the key performance index of receiving circuit..Key performance indicators receiving circuit to do a comparison. Finally, show a complete test results by the actual fiber link testing.
