During aviation, it is very important for flight assignment and security that the pilot find out oil capacity. For equipped fuel measure instrument, there are a lot of disadvantages. They are machine-electricity instruments, their sensor design is not reasonal, their indication is not veracious. The affection of temperature is very great, as well as the maintenance of outfield is difficulty.In the working process,its function may take place to change with the influence of the inner and exterior condition .For maintencing the oil instrument well,we must understang the changing circumstance at any time.So it is very trivial and difficult that we check fuel oil instrument .Along with the development of the science thehnique ,especially the development of the electronics technique ,nearer in the last years ,many electronics components having many functions and using convenience appeared,SCM that having CPU,RAM,ROM and I/O connecting have appeared .The ratio of the function and price is more and more low.SCM have the characteristic that its volume is very small and its quantity is very light,so it is very suit to producing measure instrument .If oil measure instrument adopt SCM and reasonal software ,it will be improved that using convenience and measuring veracity .That oil measure instrument discussed in the text is designed basing the problems in existence of the old instruments summmrized.At the aspect of hardware ,the oil measure instrument adopt another A/D mothed to take place the old mothed .So it settle out the problem that the temperature range is very narrow.The powerof instrument is reduced greatly because of the CMOS chip being used.At the aspect of software ,the random error is discreased greastly ,because of adopting the technique of digital filter .The subprogram of investigate table and insert value ,compensate the temperature errorcaused by capacitance measure mothed.So the measure precision of the instrumentis improved.We reduce the cost of the instrument because of choosing the component that its prise is low.Using the technique of filter, it is minished that measure outcome error of the interfere of outside signal and the misuse of apparatus. Adopting Aitken, it compensates preferably the affect of the oil-box figure and temperature.At the same time, it improves obviously the measure precision and the reading is convenient and right, using LCD. The measure instrument has many specialties, such as the error is tinier, the reading is righter, the range of measure is broader, the maintenance and useness is very convenient. So it is the emphases of the army refit works and the demand of the modernization warfare, that high-tech products replace the old ones.The paper mostly study the design of sensor ,haredware ,arithmetic,software ,measure outcome and the analysis of error to certain oil-box of certain areoplane .The paper consist of six chapters ,its content as follows:1.It introduce the background the significance of investigate and the design thought of the hardware and software.2.It mostly analyse the design thought of the capacitance sensor.3.It mostly analyse the design thought of hardware and software.4.It mostly analyse the arithmetic of the measure instrument and give an example to explain the arithmetic and corresponding software.5.It explains the measure outcome and analyse the causing of the error.6.It sum up the whole paper.
