Intellectualized test of device on board in tracking system is one of the difficult problems which need to be urgently solved in aerospace industry now. In this thesis, a systematic analysis of intellectualized test is presented in detail. At the same time, some attempts are carried out about research on intellectualized test and test accuracy improving of pulse radar transponder.Firstly, intellectualized test scheme is analyzed. The research on intellectualized test method of pulse radar transponder is selected after comparing test method of available device on board. It is common that pulse radar transponder be used in launch vehicle and weapon system. So the development of intellectualized test about pulse radar transponder is typicall. And it is beneficial to popularization of intellectualized test for other device on board.Secondly, after a theoretical analysis of pulse radar transponder, technical approach is selected to construct an intellectualized test system. Moreover, system study and construction are conducted including software and hardware development. Experimental research are proceeded, for example, how to deduct system intrinsic group delay accurately, how to test device delay and dynamic range delay. In addition, key items in specifications are listed and their intellectualized test methods for improving result accuracy are given.Finally, intellectualized test method of pulse radar transponder is compared with traditional one in this thesis. From the test results of many transponders which are used in many launch vehicles and missiles, it is convinced that intellectualized test method is automatic, time-saving, accuracy-improving, error-avoiding and safe. Furthermore, future application of the newly developed intellectualized test system of pulse radar transponder is discussed.
