As the large capability and high parameter equipments are selected, power system become more complicated, and generator faults effect more and more on whole power system. So even higher request is put forward to security and economy of electric power production, moreover operators are requested imminently to have better management of technology and operation and ability to response the emergency. Simulation of power plant has been applied widely in order to improve effectively operators' knowledge, operation skills and their ability to response the emergency. Simulator is an installation with computers as its core which is developed to simulate turbo generator and used to train operators. Electrical simulation system is an important part of simulation software of power plant. The electrical system models are established in detail, and a simulation software is also developed in this paper. The following contributions are included:Electrical system of power plant as study object, is divided into different types of blocks. Based on the modular modeling method, the whole electrical system models are established. Every subsystem model is established, finally the time simulation method is used to research transient-state analysis of power system. The electrical simulation system is designed in integrity. Visual C++ was used to develop the software, combined with dynamic link library (DLL) and database of ADO. This simulation software can not only be run independently, but also can be used with other simulation software (boiler or turbine). It can simulate many operation situations, display simulation data, curve and chart, also save or print results. In addition, this software has characteristics of universal program, simple operation and friend interface.
