| Motor vehicle is necessary for people's daily life and work. With the rapid increasing amount of automobile in china, the high occurrence of traffic accidents has threatened people's life, property and social public safety. So we must pay great attention to the safety for motor vehicles operating on roads.Inspection must be carried out regularly in order to ensure the automobile's safety capability, which include four-wheel alignment, headlamp, chassis, brake, side slip and so on. In our county, the technology of safety inspection for motor vehicles is a new subject which has progressed rapidly in recent decades. Although we are able to develop some measuring instruments independently, there is still problems and deficiency. For instance, method of measurement is out of date, principle of measurement is lag behind, automatization level of measurement is low, standard of measurement for related instruments is absence, and many safety measuring instruments in use cannot be traceable to measurement standard. So the primacy is to ensure the technological status of the measuring instruments themselves, to evaluate scientifically whether they accord with the national technical requirements, and to establish the related national measurement standard as early as possible.Firstly, this paper introduces some basic information of safety inspection for motor vehicles, the development in this field domestic and international, the related laws, specifications and national standards. Aiming at the items which are in highly social demands, this paper focus it's main contents on researching three equipments of measurement standard, i.e., four-wheel aligner, calibrator for headlamp tester, and chassis dynamometer.In chapter 2, 3 and 4, the research processes of four-wheel aligner, calibrator for headlamp tester, and chassis dynamometer are expounded respectively, their operational principles, qualifications, uncertainty of measurement, advancement and innovation of the technology are described in detail. The emphases focus on the design introduction of each module and the uncertainty evaluation of measuring results, which is critical for standard of measurement.The experimental records and data is concluded and expounded in chapter 5. The experimental contents include examination the capability of standard equipments, measuring and calibrating experiment by using the standard equipments. The experimental place, environment, and operators have been list detailedly. So it is easy to know that the quality of the whole equipments has achieved the desired goal.In the end, the social and economic benefits are been analyzed in chapter 6. Result shows that the project has great economic benefits and social influences.In a word, this project combines with optics, mechanism, electron and computer together, and introduces physical simulation methods to show many measuring parameters. The whole equipment of measurement standard is integrated with sensor technology, computer technology and unique structure & mechanical design. So, it not only has advanced principle, high accuracy and stability of measurement, but also has reasonable structure, convenient operation. Especially, the project has made technical breakthrough in aspects of four-wheel alignment, calibrator for headlamp tester and chassis dynamometry, filled up the national blank in this field, and conformed to the technical requirement assigned by National Science and Technology Department. |
