Study On Adjustment And Inspection Test Technology Of Automobile Wheel Alignment

China's automobile industry has developed rapidly in recent years. Now, the production and consumption of cars in China becomes to the No.1 in the world. With the increase of automobiles and the upgrade of technology, the severe challenges are given to the vehicle repair industry. For testing car more accurate and more efficient, we should constantly learn, explore and research in new technologies about inspection test of vehicle. One of these new technologies is four-wheel alignment. The technical staff can measure the parameters of vehicle accurately by using the special four-wheel alignment computer. Then they adjust the wheel alignment parameters base on the measurement data and the design standards of cars. So the stability, security and fuel economy of the car recover to design standards.This article discusses the inspection test technology and adjustment technology of vehicle wheel alignment. Firstly, the effect of every wheel alignment parameter and the relationship between each other is analyzed. Secondly, by analyzing the structure of CCD-type and 3D-type wheel alignment equipment have done deep research in the measurement principle of both devices. Make a method assess the accuracy of four-wheel alignment measurement. Do experiment to test the accuracy of CCD-type wheel alignment. Thirdly, make study on the adjustment technology of wheel alignment parameters. Find the way to adjust the wheel alignment parameters, which are difficult to adjust in MacPherson suspension by analyzing the structure of this kind suspension. Finally, set up a simulation model of MacPherson suspension by using ADAMS/Car. Make deeper study on the relationship of the suspension structure and wheel alignment angle. The McPherson suspension has been optimized by processing the results of research.The research of wheel alignment has only developed ten years in China. But more and more people have realized the importance of automobile wheel alignment. People who work in the automotive industry believe that to learn the technology of wheel alignment is equivalent to learn maintenance of the chassis. So the study on wheel alignment is not only with great significance, but also has great application value in the market.
