Concrete Face Rockfill Dam is new dam-type, developing rapidly currently all over the world. There are several advantages, such as simple design, low investment, short work-period, anti- earthquake. Many scholars have already made a lot of researches about it, putting forward the different options.Daao reservoir is a large( II) reservoir in Jiangxi province, beginning to be built in 1997, retaining water in July 1999 and formally running in 2000. In the process to build dam , many facilities are set to surveil the condition of the dam.Now a lot of data are acquired. So I combine calculating in finit element method with data analysis, analyzing stress-strain and deformation of the rockfill and concrete face. The context of the paper conclude:(1)analyze every factor of settlement, give new settlement statistic model. (2)Analyzing and comparring all sorts of stress-strain relationship model, I consider double yield surface model, put forward by Shen zhujiang, is better than others in explaining shear compression, shear dilation and anisotropy. (3)Rockfill is elasto-plastic itself and its stress-strain relationship is nonlinear. So the calculation method must be incremental FEM. (4) Sort the observations and make curves of changes of physics measures with time, curves of distribution of physics measure. According to the curve, evaluate the safety of the dam and predict trend of dam. (5)By calculating to the biggest cross section in main dam, I get several parameters of the dam and emerge the distribution of settlement, level movement and stress. Finally, make safety evaluation of Daao dam.
