The bottom gate of Xiaowan is a high-pressure and maximal work gate at home and abroad at the present time, The hydropower station of Xiaowan is a large-scale and higher technological engineering. But according to the present design criterion the designed radial gates had always been neglected the entity integration and the dimensional property of the radial gate itself, the gates were too be conservative in some parts, but it was insufficient in the key component. This design method couldn't be suit for the gate like the high-pressure gate of Xiaowan , the stiffness of the main component is stronger , it's node effect and space effect is higher. Therefore in order to ensure the safety and dependability of the bottom gate of Xiaowan's operating a 3-D finite element silulation model is built after on-the-spot measurement of the floodgate. The model has more approximation to the actual structure. Based on the technique, the stress and deformation calculation are developed in this thesis.As the Xiaowan bottom radial gate is a high-head deep gate , and it's arm is long ,the design unit added transverse links and vertical links to strengthen stability and the stiffness of the arm. The links will not only need a lot of steel ,cost much money , add the start-stop force, but also bring difficult to welding , transportation, and assemble of the radial gate. Therefore I will offer the difference of the links to the gate's strength and stiffness to the design unit. Having coMPared the calculated value with which links is concerned to that with links unconcerned; the rationality of links, which located in the Xiaowan radial gate arm is found out.Supporting articulation is not only the radial gate's rotor main center, but also important supporting part. The radial gate's supporting articulation include cylinder articulation, taper articulation and spheric articulation. Because of the simple structure of the cylinder articulation, the manufacture and transportation is very easy. The designer selected the supporting articulation. In the paper the author used the Space-Hexahedrite-Eight Nodes Isoparametric to discrete it. and used the 3-D Thin-Element to simulate the transfer character of supporting articulation, that was, only transferred normal compressive stress, didn't transfer normal tensile stress and tangential stress, then calculated the stress and displace of the supporting articulation. From the calculated value, I can draw a conclusion that the rule of the stress and displace is rational. At the same time,the size of the supporting articulation is bigger,the author adjust the size and caculate the stress and displacement of the different size , the calculation offer the basis to the design unit.At the present there are no combined design standard for the bolt bearing capacity calculation and check of the high-head radial gate at home , so in the paper , the author used specified cross-section finite element method to get the bolt inner force,and calculated the bolt bearing capacity .From the calculation result ,we can see that the design of the bolts is rational, and it can be useful to the design unit.
