At present, most city buses adopt the postposition engine and manual mechanical transmission. The distances between the public traffic depots are about 500m, furthermore, in the centre of the city, the distances are much more shorter. Within such short distance, drivers must do the manipulation of start, gearshift and stop again and again. The working intensity is very large. As for the passengers, they must suffer from the recoil and swoop. By adopting the electronic transmission and CCS, the fuel economy, power and emission control can be improved. Based on the manual gear box, adopting electronic technology and control theories, and grounding on ECU, the system implements the shift operation by the pneumatic executors. As far as the situation of our country, refitting the manual gear box to the electronic transmission is prone to the manufacturer, facile to production, and high performance-price proportion. The thesis introduces the history, actuality and development trend of the automatic transmission and CCS. And it also expounds the components of the electronic transmission and CCS, including the shift parts and the executors. It has discussed the shift quality, by using jerk, friction-work and gear-shift time to evaluate. It dissertate the control theory of the CCS, introduces the PED parameter self-adjust fuzzy-control technology to regulate the vehicle speed, and does the emulating through Matlab. Moreover, the design of circuits and software of electronic control are made. It choose the microcomputer SST89C58 and designs not only the electric circuits of expand but also software according to the demand of the system. Because vehicle always works on complicated circumstance, the technique of anti-jamming and dependability is designed and analyzed.
