| In the paper, analysis and explore has been made on electrical automation in large thermal power plant, the development of DCS system in power plant automation discussed. New technology development is brought about in power plant by using the Field bus and FCS. Protection and supervising of electrical system in power plant which includes auxiliary power system, substation transformer system and unit electrical section becomes technology focusing point. The main problemes and solutions of electrical automation based on the Field bus and network communication has been well explored, the technology of applying electrical automation system to DCS through communication and combining its function to that of DCS has been analyzed.
