With the development of smart grid construction, distribution network has become the focus of the power grid construction in our country, distribution switch become indispensable in the distribution network products, directly relating to the safety and reliability of the power grid. The requirement Market, society and era of distribution switchgear asked for security, reliability, miniaturization, intelligence, innovation, environmental protection is developing.This study is main to design a kind of high reliability, high security of intelligent medium voltage power distribution equipment, combining the traditional medium voltage switching unit, secondary system of measurement, communications, automation with power supply module, achieving the primary and secondary equipment of partition and depth fusion and combining the monitoring equipment and the switch running state, the condition of temperature and humidity inside cabinet, busbar and cable head temperature, with switch performance characters monitor, and to achieve the intelligence of medium voltage distribution network equipment. Integrated intelligent ring main unit, including the distribution network automation terminal equipment, monitoring equipment, and switch. Switch device can select unit load switch, circuit breaker unit or load switch+the combination of circuit breaker unit; Monitor including temperature, switch angular displacement monitoring, monitoring points, closing coil current curve, etc. The focus of this study is to solve the problem of the traditional ring main unit module(charged monitor, fault indicator, protective device) without installation partition mixed mode, layout disorder, the module interface without standardization, combination is difficult to design, the switchgear equipment and operational environment can not be real-time monitoring. In view of the current distribution network automation terminal DTU, adopted by the majority of outlet and inlet line of each unit to interval(primary equipment) secondary line to all DTU, the workload is bigger, more error-prone, poorly reliable, so we put forward to simplify the system interface and internal wiring, requiring the different equipment for the same signal review application, reducing duplication of acquisition and wiring, putting forward the standard wiring definition, achieving the unified interface standard. Further improving and enriching the function of the distribution automation terminal, and make it to collect such as pressure, temperature and humidity, angular displacement of the monitoring equipment data and to realize fault wave record, the curve of the query on the LCD interface, with the 61850 communication technology used in distribution network now, except for the three remote acquisition and control and the basic fault judgment and protection.
