Study Of The Production Planning & Scheduling In Multi-categories And Small Batch Manufacturing Mode

Fierce market competition and customers' diversified requirements, make themulti-categories and small batch become the mainstream of the production mode. Inthese enterprises, products are always multiple with small batch, low repeat, lowstability of production planning and scheduling. Processes are often modified. Sothese enterprises need an applicable system to meet the requirements of practice. This paper has analyzed the characteristics and the existing problems of theproduction with multi-categories and small batch. On the basis of studying aboutsome production scheduling modes, a planning system combined by MRP and JITwith two layers of production plan is put forward including order tasks resolvingand workshop tasks planning. Its characteristics and how to plan and schedule arestudied, and the systematic function model is defined. The approach of MRPresolving the tasks is described, the way of capability balanced is studied and themanufacturing agency is introduced. On the basis of analysis of workshop planningand scheduling, the two layers of scheduling mode with the scheduling of workshopand scheduling in workshop is put forward and this method of scheduling isdescribed. At last, a production planning and management system is developed, andthe feasibility of this method is verified by the implement in an enterprise. Theproblems which appeared in the course of implement are analyzed, and the solutionsare put forward.
