Study Of Air Entrainment And Prevention Of Cavitation By Mean Of Aerator

With the developing of science and technology, more and more high head dams are build and problems brought by high velocity flow are following. Some special phenomena of flow do harm to the dams, so it is significant to study on it.The characters of air entrainment flow are shown in this paper. An experimental formula of the density of air entrainment is put forward, which is useful for real project. A kind of device which is used to measure the air entrainment and its principle and application are presented. Conception of prevention of cavitation by mean of aerator and some project examples are introduced. The studies confirm that the aerator is the best way to avoid cavitation from the effectiveness and finance point of view. And after analyzing the experimental information of Xiaolangdi discharge channel some advices for Bailianya dam are put forward.
