CAN industrial local area networks, called controller area network.which is a serial bus with high speed ,high reliability ,and low cost for distributed real time control applications, are widely used in the framework of real-time distributed industrial applications and distributed processing systems.A new controlling method to the vehicle body control system based on the CAN -BUS is issued in the paper, which is universal, programmable, maintainabel and intelligenitized. At the beginning, the basic topology and working theory of the vehicle body control system based on the CAN-BUS is introduced .Following ,the paper analyses and discusses the issues of hardware composing, parameter choice, controlling methods , and software implementing in the system. Finally , one network of vehicle body control system based on the CAN-BUS have been developed successfully .Every intelligible nodes in the system can get data from the network,at the same time, many kinds of faults auto-examing and auto-protecting functions are provided in the system ,and its programmable design is adapted to many accasions. In addition, some new function was added in this network. The paper also especially introduces the application of COMVDL (Component-Oriented Multi- Value Description Language) in our vehicle body control system .I use this language solve the complicated logical control problem in the system , at the same time, everyone can understand and use this language to add new function and update it.Finally, the paper analyses the performance of the sample, furthermore, according as the developing trend of the vehicle eletronics field, it reveals the improving and perfecting direnction of the transformation from the sample to the product.
