As the representative of modern electrical motors, switched reluctance motor combines the electrical motor theories with the modern power electronics technique and the advanced microprocessor control technique, which not only has low-cost strong structure, good fault-tolerant and heat-resistant capability but also has excellent controllability. Thus, switched reluctance motor is widely regarded in drive and speed regulation field.This paper mainly focuses on the design of the system for switched reluctance drive based onMCS-96--------80C196KC, and has done some further theoretic research as well asexperimental research.Firstly, this paper summarized and analyzed the advantages of switched reluctance drive, further made the significance of developing this knowledge of SRD system clear.Secondly, this paper summarized how switched reluctance generator works and how to control it and the compare based on each control principle.Thirdly, in this chapter, a set of practical SRD's hardware system is developed, which is based on 16 bits SCM control technique and power electronics converting technique.Fourthly, a set of practical SRD software system for experimental is developed, which based on assemble language and C language. The reasonable design of software fully displayed the flexibility of SRD control.Fourthly, the application of FUZZY control technique on SRD is analyzed. The experimental results manifest that fuzzy control technique has more advantage than PID control technique.Finally, The experimental results validated and deepened the conclusions drawn from theoretical research. The results fully approved the usability and reliability for the system. It helps a lot to the efficiency of experimentation.
