Steel reinforced concrete (SRC) structure is a kind of composite structure in which shaped steel is surrounded by reinforced concrete. It has many advantages such as good earthquake resistant behavior, high load-carrying capacity, good resistance to fire and durability. In this paper, normal section bearing capcity of SRC beam is analyzed from three aspects on the basis of force character of upper flange of shaped steel in SRC beam. Furthermore, some formulas among code of SRC composite structure are considered applicable in the first situation and the calculation formula of the other two situations and determination method are put forward.Easy superimpose method has been ofen adopted in the design of SRC structure. The ultimate flexural strength of SRC beam calculated by using this method is averagely 26 percent smaller than that of test. For static analysis, this method is inclined to conservative, whereas the result of this method is not safe to SRC frame seismic design. In this paper, theory analysis, test data and case have been used to show that this method is not safe to seismic.High strength steel reinforced concrete (HSRC) structure is a kind of structure in which high strength shaped steel is surrounded by reinforced concrete. Compared with nomal SRC beam, HSRC beam has the same destructive behavior and ducticity, and higher bending strength. In the paper, bending capacity, stiffness and crack of HSRC beam are analyzed by experiments. Some formula among code of SRCcomposite structure can also be applied in the calculation of bending capacity and stiffness in HSRC in which shaped steel are symmetrically arranged. To the crack width calculation in HSRC beam, the calcution value is bigger than the experimental value in the code of SRC composite structure. Lα the paper, the symbol kAw, and khw are suggested applied in web plate lied in one third of tensed zone.The finitive element analysis software ANSYS is used to analyze HSRC beam.
