Because of more intense market competition and the rapid development of science and technology, the technology and complexity in the design have been increased. at the same time ,the life cycle of the product has been cut. So,it is shortening new design cycle,developing technology level of new design ,cutting cost of new design that are most important problems to solve.In the paper, based on fuzzy optimization design and virtual design, the power-shifting transmission is studied, Emphatically, fuzzy optimization design, the reasonable matching of the torque converter and the engine, the parameterized design of the gear, virtual modeling, virtual assembling, motions simulation, interference detection, creating of engineering drawings , and part process etc. are researched and studied.Aiming at practice using of the the power-shifting transmission , acorrding to graphical user interfaces specialities of MATLAB and adopting the method of optimization design, the power-shifting transmission has been designed. Primary parameters of the fuzzy optimization design have been saved in data file , which keeped the veracity and integrity of the data. The parameters are the base of the 3D solid modeling , virtual assembling, Kinematic simulation and the traction figure calculating of the wheel loader.By use of graphical user interfaces of MATLAB and by means of curve fitting ,optimization calculation and graphical processing, the matching of the torque converter and the engine has been computed,The traction curve analysis toolbox has been made, The traction figure has been viewed in toolbox , what have obtained proved that the new design is superior to the old one.The radiate of thetorque converter and power-shifting transmission has been calculated, which could guarantee the torque converter and power-shifting transmission to work, normally.According to motions relation of the power-shifting transmission and by use of Simulink and SimMechanics of MATLAB, the motions model and the simulation of the special work point have been made , and the motions law of this product has been direct viewed With, the help of the computer simulation we can know the motions property and work property of the product which has not been manufactured, and improve work efficiency. ;On the platform of Pro/Engineer, by use of table and program design implement, the parameterized modeling of the involute cylindrical gear has been accomplished, the repeated modeling of the gear has been avoided, The result of the fuzzy optimization design in the data file has been loaded ,which accomplished the automatic design of the gear in the power-shifting transmission, teducing mistake in the design, and can make the design quickly and accurately done.With parameterized modeling method on feature.the power-shifting transmission's virtual model and virtual assembling are established. Then, interference analysis is done.With the help of Pro/Engineer, the engineering drawings are coming into being by transformation form 3D to 2D. By it and the greatly compiling drawings function of AutoCAD 2000, the power-shifting transmission 's engineering drawings are made up; With the InteCAPP filling card system ,the part process has been made,and work efficiency has been advanced.
