With the development of the technology, methods of image guidance are used in many weapons, especially in some precise guidance weapon. For image guidance, the information processor needs powerful processing ability. So it is an urgent task of designing a suitable information processor, with which the whole system can be tested, and its subsystems and their function units can be tested too. In this paper, we discuss how to contrive a scheme for the design of the testing system. Hardware design about testing system is also studied in the paper.At first, the paper introduces the status and development trend of the testing system. Then the characteristics and design thought of the Virtual Instruments are discussed. Combined with architecture of information processor and VI technology, a new scheme is put forward: in the testing system, control computer, the scene generator, four-channel CCD data acquisition module, high speed data access module on PCI bus and a adaptive television module for digital sequence are linked with LAN. The paper presents the key techniques of hardware and software realization, and introduces the way of how to divide the software part.The paper presents architecture of the scene generator, adaptive television module for digital sequence, high speed data access module on PCI bus and implement it. The key points of how to devise hardware modules for testing system are analyzed in this paper. On the whole, the experiments show that the hardware modules we designed are suitable for the testing system.Finally, a summary about the achievement of the paper is given. It also outlines the emphasis and direction in the future research.
