A kind of motor testing and controlling system based on the PXI system of virtual instrument which including controlling speed and testing mainly is devised in this paper based on the wide understanding of the acquired technical methods and mature theory about the motor testing and controlling and the deep studying of the hardware selecting, debugging and software programming about the virtual instruments and neural networks. The hardware is designed by PXI bus technique based on virtual instrument, including zero-controller, multifunction data acquisition card, SCXI, motor equipment and other circuit of interface or amplifier designed. A brief introduction of programming language for virtual instrument especially excellent functions of LabVIEW is introduced in this paper, and explained its several important panels, and interpreted the structures and process of construction of virtual instrument. After careful contrast of several leading platform of virtual instrument, the PXI system is selected to construct the testing and controlling system in the article, the frame and thoughts is put forward in succession.Then the testing and controlling theory of motor and NN-PID control, the increasing arithmetic of PID is dissertated, so controllimg the speed based on BP NN with PID controlling arithmetic is used, the MATLAB Script from LabVIEW calling program of NN is used too, the system is simulated and the process of control parameters of motor system is explained. Finally, four models of the testing and controlling system is designed: including design of real time testing model, real time controlling model, network model and data process model, the methods of programming is explained in detail in the article. After being tested in the lab, it manifests that manipulation of the system is convenient, it shows the flexible and easy-upgrading characters of the virtual instrument and the wide application prospect in the testing and controlling field.
