Reactive power/voltage control is the pivotal work of improving voltage quality, keeping voltage level near to rating,ensuring secure operation of modern power system. Local control is one of the Reactive power/voltage control mode, it may keep rating of voltage and reactive power in substations. In spite of which mode is adopted, local control mode performs importance function. This dissertation devotes to the relative problems in local control field, including the research as follows:Retroversion of reactive power define in sinusoidal conditions is given. Two methods which are used are studied and analyzed to define reactive power in nonsinusoidal conditions, one is the time domain analysis method, the other is frequency domain analysis method. Their advantages and drawbacks of power definition are discussed.In the aspect of nine-zone diagram control strategy, traditional nine-zone diagram method's deficiency by a few examples is pointed out, and corresponding improved strategy is presented. Three realization methods of reactive power/voltage on substation are analyzed and compared, the suggestion that different measure should be taken according to the different level of automotive control in substations is proposed.In the aspect of high side voltage control strategy, the effects that High Side Voltage Control (HSVC) improves the stability of the power system are described. Tow control strategies of high side voltage are pointed out, together with drawing sketches of every control strategies. And the direction of reactive power/voltage control development in our country is pointed.An implementing project about reactive power/voltage automotive control system of generation plant is put forward. It adopts high side voltage control strategy. Not only the voltage on high voltage buses is adjusted, but also reactive power is the most preference distribute. The main idea and functional division is described. Draw sketches of control strategies.
