Springs are widely used in every walk of life, some of them have been standardized. But because of the restrict of structure and application requirement, there is always need some nonstandard special type of spring. Because of its special and complicated structure, there is often no existing expressions to calculate the rigidity with its dimension. So the rigidity is often established by trial-manufacture. Because of many unexpected factors during the processing, the quality of the spring product is fluctuant, the qualified rate sometimes is very low. So it is very significative to study the factors which influenced the quality of spring deeply during the processing, and try our best to control of it.From the springs which we have produced, we selected one spring with special complicated structure to study. With the strict requirement of dimension and elasticity performance, the spring is very hard to be made. Crack during the shaping procession, inadequacy of elasticity, deformation had been the most problems. Through studies and combine with technological test, we have solved these problems and improved the qualified rate of the part.From material control, shaping, heat treatment, surface treatment to the elasticity performance examination, these article detailedly described all the manufacture processes of the part. First of all, we have deeply analyzed thestructure of the part. Use theory of material mechanics, we inferred the expression of rigidity. It helps us to know which dimensions should be best controlled during the procession. We analyzed the performance of material which influence the elasticity to make certain the control requirement of material. Through analyze the shaping dies and simulate the main process of shaping with computer, we have found the reason why the part will crack during the shaping process and at last solved the problem. Through technological test, we have found out the reasonable technological parameter and equipment of heat treatment, and solved the problem of differ from color after surface treatment.Through all these studies and technological test, we get hold of the key factors which influence the quality of spring most during the procession. It is helpful to the production of the part for the future.
