Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) can guarantee that the tire of automobile works at right pressure and temperature. TPMS makes automobile to be more comfortable, more safely, more smoothly. It has been proved that tire takes the well-balanced air pressure and the right temperature is very important. After years of development, Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) has already developed from former mechanical system to electronic system. The paper gives an embedded TPMS scheme which uses the sensor technique, micro-electronics technique, embedded technique, wireless radio frequency technique. A TPMS product is made, the product' property right belongs to us entirely.The paper introduces the hardware structure and programming way of TPMS in detail. The paper also discusses the role of all the parts. Following is the main content of the paper:(1) Signal sampling. The pressure and temperature signal is sampled by using the pressure and temperature sensor MPXY8020A. The voltage signal is sampled by using the in chip Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) of MSP430.(2) The choice of micro-controller in base station and terminal. 16 bits micro-controller MSP430 is selected to do the controlling work respectively. It samples the signal, sends the sampling data by radio frequency means, receives the data by radio frequency means, shows the data in real time, memories the alarm data.(3) Design of the radio frequency communication part. Sending and receiving the data by using nRF905.(4) Design of the showing data part. Tires data is showed to the driver by using Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). Time is also showed in the LCD.(5) Data management. The system gives the alarm signal when the data is abnormal. It also memorizes the alarm data.(6) Design of calendar module. A calendar chip HT1381 is used to give the current time, including week, date, day, month and year. The paper tells thereader how to configure HT1381 and read current time from HT1381.As a radio frequency product, the reliability of the wireless communication is very important. The paper presents the design means of wireless communication by using nRF905. Some concepts according to antenna are given. The paper also introduced how to compute the communication distance. The base purpose of the system is monitoring the data and giving alarm signal, so an accurate data is important. The paper introduces the means of data sampling and error management. The principle and using means of LCD is given in the paper.The system the paper given can not only be used in TPMS, but also be used in other field universally, such as wireless water meter, wireless ammeter, wireless alarm, wireless key, home automation, toy.A conclusion of the paper is made in the end. We also points out the flaw of the system, then presents the orientation of subsequent research work.
