Along with the development of social economic and engineer technique, requirement to foudation treatment are enhanced, and new improvement technique are developed rapidly such as composite foundation. Composite foundation has been applied in high-rise building, and the long-short composite piled raft foundation occur. Now technique of composite foundation keep ahead of study, especially combined composite foundation. Theoretical analysis is very necessary to extend composite foundation technique.Founded on the review of the previous researches, this paper identify what have been done in these researches and what should be expanded in this literature, and based upon these, there are two stages in this study.(1) FEM study. Applying FEM program, computational analysis of combined composite foundation was accomplished, reducing factors were discussed. And functionary mechanism of cushion was analyzed systematically according to experiment results. In the end, method of optimalzed design was proposed.(2) Based on elastic methods and the layer-wise summation method, a program developed for settlement calculation of pile ground and combined composite foundation. Then, some profitable conclutions were obtained through study and comparison with FEM analysis.This program can be applied in analysis of composite foundation and pile ground with layered ground and non-linear pile-soil iteraction. In this paper, based analysis and verifacation of model and factor, analysis and verifacation of behavior and settlement calculation of composite foundation was accomplished.
