The power transformer is one of the most important equipment of electric system. Its status directly affects the safety of the electric system. To maintain the transformer, the maintainers don't especially need to know the fault diagnosis. Because as the diagnosis result is made, fault has been happened or nearly happened. The maintainers want to know the transformer's status, so they can decide whether to cut the transformer out of the system. The fault type and fault point can be inspected after the transformer is off line. This thesis tries to evaluate the running transformer's status, and to give reasons to make decision whether to stop, examine and repair the transformer.This thesis suggests the fundamental of the condition maintenance of electric power transformer by discussing the conception of the condition maintenance, and by analyzing the relationship between condition maintenance and pre-test, on-line supervision, and fault diagnosis. It scores the transformer's health by 100-scale. It compartmentalizes the transformer's status to 5 levels. However, the normal transformer's status is only compartmentalized to 2 levels as eligibility and ineligibility. This thesis also gives the corresponding maintenance strategy. The power transformer includes pre-test, on-line supervision, family quality bug, and equipment self-quality event, etc. By using fuzzy math theory, choosing the fuzzy distributing mode, and using expert investigation method, it calculates each different item's subordinate degree. It set up multi level fuzzy integrated evaluation mode, evaluates the status of the transformer, and makes use of the evaluation result.This thesis suggests that nowadays power transformer maintenance should integrate regulate maintenance with condition maintenance, and in the future the electric bureau carry out condition maintenance thoroughly. This thesis also discusses the management of condition maintenance.
