Analysis And Design Of Power Transformer Condition Evaluation System

Condition based maintenance, as a maintenance mode which can save maintenance cost compared with time based maintenance, shortens outage time, extends equipment lifespan, and has become a focus of research. Transformer condition assessment is the basis of the transformer condition based maintenance. So the condition assessment on operating power transformer is of great importance.In this paper, according to the new rules of the National Grid, based on the analysis of transformer condition information, an index system of transformer condition assessment with practicability and reliability has been built. The components and functions of this transformer condition assessment system were discussed. According to the complexity of power transformer faults, the study on synthetic diagnosis for power transformer faults is established based on Rough Set theory. The effectiveness of this method is examined using examples.
