The development of the science and technology has laid solid foundation to the improvement of pumping station's measurement technology. At present, measurement methods were more scientific and rational, the instruments were more accurate, reliable and practical, the process of data acquisition was systematized and automatized. Based on the post assessment of WujingMinhang sewage pumping station in Shanghai by field test and the hydraulic model test of Furongjiang pumping station, a thorough study was made on the measuring technology and data acquisition system of pumping stations' field test and overall hydraulic model test.It could be drawn conclusions from the paper that the telemeter strain sensor could take the place of the steel chord power-measuring device recommended by pumping stations' field test regulations to measure the shaft power of pump and ultrasonic water level meter and Doppler ultrasonic flow sensor as the non-contact measuring instruments of water level and flow should be given first priority to be used in the sewage pumping station' field test. In the paper, the recommendations were presented for the measuring technology of flow of large-size low lift pump and the measuring technology of the current meter and the input power of the drive motor of model pump governed by converter in the overall hydraulic model test. In the paper, the data acquisition system of the pumping stations' field test and overall hydraulic model test were analysed. The data acquisition system of pumping stations, which had been used in the actual tests, was developed by the combination of Huakong mainboard and the configuration software.The paper could help to improve the measuring technology of the pumping stations' field test and overall hydraulic model test.
