Electric system evolutions from integrated circuit into integrated system with the fast development of FPGA. More attention is paid on the design of digital control system based on FPGA and with EDA. Recently, FPGA applies to communication field broadly, but to electric power field narrowly .So the controller of induction heating power supply based on FPGA is researched in this paper.Firstly, the blue print of the induction heating power supply is made collectivity according as the performance target. Main circuit topological structure is serial resonant and the power is controlled by the phase-shift method. The parameters and models of components are made sure by calculation. The hardware subsystems are designed and realized.Secondly, the dynamic model of main circuit is obtained by the sampled-data method and FFT transformer simulation method the model is correct proved by the agreement with two results .the PI controller is designed based on the model, and the all system is simulated in SIMULINK.Finally, the controller is designed in FPGA. Digital PLL circuit, power controller circuit, protect circuit and start/stop controller circuit are realized in one FPGA. The design step is: system partition, module realization and function simulation.
