The Meshless method is unlimited by the traditional elements and meshes and it has wide use in application. In this paper , the present development and the basis theory of meshless method are systematically introduced. On the basis of the basic theory of meshless method, the 2D computer program of EFGM to solve the elasticity mechanics prolems and mechanics of fracture problems is developed and several typical examples are given to prove the correctness and high precision of EFGM. Considering the problems of unstability involved caculation precision and numerical solution, the paper, with lots of caculation and analysis, maily studies the influences of the distribution regulation and the distribution density of nodes, numerical integration cells and integration sections, the types of weight function and the influence domain of the weight function , therefore relevant data and regulation which refered to published literature are not finded are concluded, simultaneously, the also some pertinent proposals are presented to obtain the better results. The various methods to deal with the discontinuous problems-visible light rule.diffraction rule and transmission rule are analysed through contrast caculation, and the results show that transmission rule is more feasible to solve the crack problems. The finite board with crack on one side is solved sucessfully. Furthermore, the caculation results of the meshless method is approached to the caculation result of two analysis software of ANSYS and SIGMA. Based on the stress field of crack tip, stress intensity factor is solved. Compared with boundary collocation method, the error is less. Meantime, Stress field and displacement field of concrete wall with holes under complicated stress are simulated by the program of EFGM to solve fracture mechanics problems and the result is not only satisfactoried but also available for the application in engineering.
