Because of the outstanding curative effect of microwave technology in medicine, the medical applications of microwave therapy apparatus are increasing. Though nowadays microwave therapy apparatus has realized digital control technically, the control result is not perfect because of the characteristic of microwave source and other factors. With the highly informatization of medicine, all kinds of medical apparatuses need computers to manage the medical data. The new kind of microwave therapy apparatus in this thesis has not only realized the steady control of microwave output power, but also developed a remedial record database management system based on LabVIEW, which has realized the medical informatization.This microwave therapy apparatus consists of a microwave source, a radiator and a two-level control system. A medical continuous wave magnetron working at 2450MHz is adopted as the microwave source. An acicular radiator is introduced and the corresponding relation between the length of the radiator and the input impedance is given based on calculation, which can provide reference for radiator selection. The closed-loop control system manages the magnetron with two subsystems: master PC and slave single chip, who communicate with each other through serial interface.The slave control subsystem with the core of a single chip--89C52, includes a zero-detection circuit, an A/D converting circuit and voltage/current sample circuits, etc. By adjusting the connecting-angle of the booster, the single chip controls the output power of the magnetron, whose output voltage and current are detected by sample and converting circuits for closed-loop control. The magnetron circuit and the single chip circuit are insulated by a linear optocoupler.The PC's control and managing software is developed by using the virtual instrument design tool--LabVIEW. The software runs with the followed characteristics: high efficiency, steady performance, easy operation and friendly interface. Thanks to the adoption of a database access tool--LabSQL for developing the LabVIEW-based database management system, the efficient administration of case documents is achieved.Debugging has proved that the integral system has steady performance and meets the design demand. It has high application value in practice.
