Study And Implement Of Controller Used In Converter Applied In SMES

With Special low energy loss and rapid response ability, SMES can be applied to many electronic devices used in power system as energy storage installation, such as dynamic voltage restorer, short circuit current limiter and so on. These devices have active functions to improve power quality, enhance stability of power network and transient characteristic of power system. Interface circuit between SMES installation and these power electronic devices is a important part to determine capability of these devices. In this paper, a kind of converter, which used by SMES devices and finishes to transform current source to voltage source, is put forward. Control strategy and control arithmetic of above converter are discussed in details, and TMS320F2812 DSP chip acts as hard-core of hardware circuit to realize complete digital controller.
