The electric field about high voltage overhead power line is an open boundary electric field. This kind of field can be computed by boundary element method. 2-D eiectric field integral equation and boundary element equations are derived carefully. In order to improve the integral precision, the singular integral is calculated by analytical method. According to the characteristic of the overhead power line, the image boundary elements are putted in the position under ground to consider the effect of the earth. By use of the boundary element method, we compute the electric field above ground, on surface of conducting line and electric charge about 3 phase power lines with different kinds of multiple conductors.
