The salt-gradient solar pond can collect and storage solar energy and provide quantity of heat as a low temperature. This thesis has carried out the following work about the seawater solar pond:1. Completing the construction and filling of seawater solar pond. With the chronic and simple measurements, quantity of data about temperature and salt concentration distribution are acquired.2. The turbidity of water is one of the main factors to affect the thermal efficiency of the solar pond, so increasing aqueous clarity can increase the operation efficiency of the solar pond. In this thesis, the method of using filtration and medicament to reduce the turbidity of bitten and increase efficiency in solar pond are experimentally studied.3. With the experiment of laboratory and practical measurements of solar pond, density and turbidity of bitten on the solar pond are researched.4. The thesis analyzed the factors of affecting the operation of solar pond, including nature conditions such as storm or rain and microorganisms as the algae.5. Measuring the radiation and the temperature of air in Dalian, the empirical equations of the radiation and the temperature of air in Dalian are summarized.6. Measuring the transmission of reduced the turbidity of bitten in the different depth and turbidity, and empirical equation of brine's radiation transmission which turbidity ranges from Ontu to 10ntu is summarized.7. Using new radiation transmission model, the thermal performance of the solar pond is simulated by the finite difference method.The analysis of this thesis in the experiments of reducing bittern's turbidity, the diffuseness of bittern's density and turbidity and solar radiation transmission and the numerical simulation of solar pond are elaborated. Because of the variation of turbidity and radiation and the various of numerical simulation method, the empirical equation can be reference for the actual operation of the solar pond.
