Study On The Ship Of Stability In Regular Waves

Stability of ship is an important and complex problem in shipping field. Stability of ship is one of the most important capability, ensures the ship's safety in sailing, and stability is an primary content in ship test, its essentiality is obvious. Study on the stability of ship is divided into two aspects, initial stability and stability at large angles of inclination. Currently, study on the initial stability and large angles of inclination, verify all in still water. Stability curve is in still curve. But ships often encounter waves in sailings. For satisfied stability of ship, designers often hold some overmeasure. In fact, the waves which influenced stability is very large, the overmeasure can't protect the safe of ship. A lot of accident of ship capsizes indicate that stability of ship is good in still water, but stability of ship is bad in waves. So study on the stability in waves has important practical meaning.
