Study On Calculation Method For Internal Force Of Beam With Wide Supports

Along with the change of the service requirements and natural conditions for Open Type Wharf on Piles, the supports for some longitudinal beams will be greatly widened than before. Under the condition with wide supports, if the effect of support width is not considered, the calculation result shall have very big difference with the actual conditions and can not meet the requirements of the project. Therefore the method for calculation of the beams with wide supports must be studied in order to make engineering design safe, reliable, economic and reasonable.This dissertation analyzed and studied the binding conditions of the supports to the beams through finite element method on the basis of summarizing and analyzing the present research conditions on effect of support width to internal force of beams, established the calculation model based on the assumption of "uniformly distributed elastic coefficient supporting" and verified it by means of research result of the model test. The dissertation also provided simplified calculation method to facilitate calculation of the designers through calculation comparison analysis. The result of the practical analysis shows that the simplified calculation method provided in this dissertation can completely meet the accuracy requirements of the projects.This dissertation was prepared combined with the revision of "Design and Construction Code for Open Type Wharf on Piles".
