With the prevalence of intelligent buildings, elevator has become more and more important as the main conveyance between floors. More attention is paid to the high performance of elevator system. In this paper, the research on the intelligent algorithm for elevator group control is presented. The multilayer framework of communication and the reliable control strategies are adopted in this novel system, which is based on the embedded microprocessor. The main content of the research are as the followings:According to the characteristic of elevator control system, a novel multilayer framework of communication is presented. This framework is constituted by three layer networks. The hardware equipments in bottom layer are connected with CAN (Controller Area Network) bus to make the distributed control system available. Every node in a single elevator can communicate with each other by the bus. The inner control layer connects every single elevator together by special CAN bus to implement the optimal algorithm of dispatchment in elevator group-control system. The top layer is Ethernet which can exchange information with CAN bus to supervise the system remotely. The hardware of elevator group control system has been designed. The distributed control technology is used in this system and every node is based on embedded microprocessor. The interface modules and transceiver modules have been developed with high performance on electromagnetic immunity. The investigation in the intelligent algorithm for elevator group control has been carried on. The genetic algorithm, which improves the transportation mode and the optimal algorithm of dispatchment to adapt the various environment, has been introduced to this system. The software of elevator group control has been programmed. The entire program is designed with modularization ideas in C language and Assembly language. Every module and function is independent which is useful when programming and debugging. The system combines the priority-based preemptive and round-robintask scheduler to arrange the tasks of every function modules for the goal of reasonable dispatching elevators.
