With the prevalence of high-rise and intelligent buildings, elevator has become more and more important as the main conveyance between floors. From the running of single elevator to the parallel running of double elevator and then to the running of EGCS (Elevator Group Control System), passengers have put forward higher and higher demand for the performance of the elevator system. This paper researches the EGCS, especially in the group control system of four elevators. The main content are as follows:EGCS is an uncertain, multi-objective and random decision-making system. Firstly, the paper analyzes the characteristics and introduces the up-peak traffic condition, down-peak traffic condition, multi-way traffic condition, interlaminar traffic condition and free traffic condition during the running time, and proposes new strategies aiming at different traffic conditions.Secondly, the paper puts forward a new method of traffic pattern identification for EGCS based on simple differential algorithm and fuzzy-RBF neural network. Fuzzy-RBF is used to recognize the elevator traffic flow mode and simple differential algorithm is used to optimize the centers(c), widths(b) and weights(ω) of Fuzzy-RBF. In order to get rid of local optimum and improve the searching speed, a modified differential evolutionary algorithm is proposed. Simulation demonstrates that it has fast convergence speed and precise recognition results.Thirdly, the paper proposes a control algorithm of elevator group system based on binary differential evolution algorithm. The evaluation function of multi-object for EGCS is established after evaluating four performance indexes of EGCS and analyzing variable factors during the course of allocating elevator. According to the elevator's running status and calling signal, the paper constructs the multi-target majorized function and searches the optimal allocating method.Based on the theories above, finally the paper constructs the simulation model of the building elevator group control system, using MATLAB to make the simulation for the elevator group control algorithm. The result of simulation indicates that the multi-goals intelligence dispatch method based on the differential algorithm, which is used in the EGCS, can obtain a reasonable dispatch result, it also can enhance the operating efficiency of the system and increase the passenger's satisfaction degree.
