The paper aims at the levitation technology which is used in EMS typemagnetic levitation vehicle. Imitating the tractor's supporting structure, a new kind ofmagnetic platform comprising six pairs of electrical magnet is proposed, which solvethe problem of extra-constraints that exists in traditional magnetic platform. Themathematical model of the platform is worked out by means of lagrange method andthe coupling between each freedom degree is studied, which show that only weakcoupling exists. The relation between the coupling and the structure parameters isinvestigated quantificationally, which indicates that, by means of optimizing structuredesign, the coupling can be minished and even eliminated so that the control of theplatform can be simplified into the control of single electrical magnet. The controlsystem is designed and the problem of stability and the supporting ability is solved. The simulation of the whole system is studied. The platform is fabricated,assembled and debugged. The experiment is carried out and the results show that theplatform achieves the expectation.
