As a result of it, PFC had became one of the study focuses in power electronics. Since 1990s, people have found many of novel theories and circuit topologies and made a great progress in PFC. Along with high speed and low price DSP, PFC techlonogy combining with digital control gets more powerful means. In this paper, Boost circuit for PFC had been analyzed in detail. Chapter 1 is the summary of this paper and introduces the development of PFC and digital signal processor and explains the background and the aim of research task. Chapter 2 was made up of two parts: One is the introduction of PFC circuit operation in Discontinuous-Conduction-Mode (DCM). I had analyzed it's principle and deduced restricted formulas about this mode and built a prototype demo to verify the favorable performance resulted from DSP control. And another is the introduction of PFC circuit operation in Boundary-conduction-Mode(BCM). Likewise, I had given the restriction about this mode and implemented a 500 watt prototype demo controlled by specail IC. Chapter 3 focuses on Power Factor Conrretion in Continuous-Conduction-Mode (CCM) controlled by DSP. First, there are introduction of the development of DSP and the primary feature of MC56F8323. Secondly, I had implemented digital PFC with this DSP chip and got excellent performance. Chapter 4 focuses on PFC with zero-voltage-switching and analyzes the experiment result. Chapter 5 is the conclusion of all works and the end of this paper.
